Fingerprinting touches more agencies than most people expect. FDLE processes the submission and holds Florida criminal history. The FBI runs the national portion. Whichever agency requested your screening — AHCA, the Department of Health, DCF, DBPR, APD, a school district — owns the ORI your results route to, and is who you follow up with about status.
That last point is the one worth remembering. We capture and transmit; the agency receives and decides. If a result is slow or a determination is disputed, the agency holding your ORI is the right call to make, not us. The links below go straight to the source rather than to a summary of it.
