The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation licenses a long list of occupations, and fingerprint-based screening sits in most of those application paths. DBPR issues ORI numbers, and the correct one depends on which profession you're applying for — a real estate ORI and a contractor ORI are not interchangeable. Filed under the wrong one, your prints sit attached to an application that doesn't exist while your file shows nothing received.
