The useful thing to understand is that the fingerprinting itself doesn't vary by agency. Rolled and flat impressions are captured the same way whether the destination is a licensing board, a county department, or a port authority. What varies is the ORI, whether a photograph is required, and occasionally whether the agency uses a designated vendor instead of accepting submissions from approved providers generally.
That last case is the only one where we can't help, and it's worth knowing before you drive over. A small number of Florida programmes route applicants to one specific vendor. When you call, tell us the agency name and the ORI, and we'll confirm we can route your submission before you book. If we can't, we'll tell you plainly and point you where you need to go rather than take a fee for a submission that won't be accepted.

The capture itself is the quick part — roughly ten minutes at the scanner, a little longer when a photo or a printed card is involved. Electronic submissions leave our office the same day, so nothing sits waiting on a courier or a weekly batch run.
What happens after that is the agency's clock, not ours. State and federal processing typically returns a result within a few business days, and posting to a board or to the Clearinghouse follows from there.
